The Grumpy Little Grayfish

Based on a Real Fish Tale

The Grumpy Little Grayfish is a rhyming children's book based on a REAL grumpy lake fish that lived in our fish tank for almost FIVE years. He was netted by our three young children one hot summer afternoon. My kids begged to keep this tiny fish so we gave in and bought an aquarium and a cute little goldfish to be the lake fish's friend.

 

God put this story in my heart one day after a long afternoon of parenting challenges. I witnessed the grumpy fish being mean to the shiny goldfish everyday... but it wasn't until this one day I realized the grumpy lake fish had a perfect heart-shaped tail. No matter what he did or how he treated that goldfish, LOVE followed him everywhere. Just like parenting, though our children challenge us we love them unconditionaly. And Our Father God still loves us, even when we don't deserve it. 

 

God has a plan for everyone's life. Even when you're feeling 'stuck in the tank'  in a situation and there is no way to get out... there's a reason God put you in that place. He wants you to trust him.
